Cancéropôle Île-de-France supports investigation of cloud infrastructure for High Performance Computing in research and oncologie

All technological platforms, across various disciplines, face a common challenge: a massive increase in the amount of data generated by new-generation technologies. As a result, research centers need infrastructure capable of storing and analyzing this data. Some public computing centers, like IDRIS, offer services but are generally not certified to handle sensitive patient data. Private “sovereign and trusted cloud” services are authorized to handle sensitive data and are able to levarge large high-performance computing clusters such S3NS, Bleu, OVH, and European Sovereign Cloud. There is a common need for research centers to map, evaluate, and compare these solutions to ensure we meet the increased demands for secure use of the state-of-the-art resources.

Thanks to the generous support of the Cancéropôle Île-de-France,  Gustave Roussy, Institut Curie and Paris Brain Institute (ICM.Quant & DAC) have now teamed up to :

  • Map existing solutions, outlining their advantages and limitations.
  • Centralize best practices, methods, and models that can be uniformly applied across platforms.
  • Provide quantified responses to specific use cases

The results will be shared widely in the form of a white paper distributed to the research community.
